Greenwich To Recognize Constitution Day With Ceremony

Sept. 17 marks 236 years since the Constitution was signed. Greenwich will recognize Constitution Day on Sunday with a ceremony.

GREENWICH, CT — A small ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 17 at Greenwich Town Hall to officially mark the the 236th anniversary of the signing of the United States Constitution.

The ceremony, which is being organized by the Daughters of the American Revolution - Horseneck Chapter, will begin outside Town Hall at 10 a.m. First Selectman Fred Camillo will read a proclamation.

Sept. 17, 1787, marks the day that delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the document in Philadelphia, Pa.
