Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime event -- a special Shabbat celebration at our new home, with a Torah processional into the building and dedication of the new ark. Following the service there will be an Oneg Shabbat generously sponsored by Sandy and Steve Soule in honor of their 50th wedding anniversary.
If you would like to participate in the processional, please join us outside the building at 92 Orchard Street in Cos Cob at 6 pm. We hope that all can have a turn carrying one of the Torahs as we march into the building. The GRS choir will lead us in singing as we walk. At 6:30, we'll dedicate the ark by placing the scrolls inside. When our Shabbat service concludes (by 7:30), we'll have a champagne toast to honor Sandy & Steve. The Soules have requested "no gifts please," but would welcome donations to GRS in their honor.
