Greenwich Resident Receives Westfair 'Milli Award'

Anne Franscioni is one of 19 area professionals under the age of 35 to receive the honor.

GREENWICH, CT - From the Greenwich United Way: On Tuesday, November 14, Westfair Communications will host the 3rd Annual Milli Awards, celebrating young professionals who are on their way to changing the world. The event will be held at 1133 Westchester Avenue, White Plains and begins at 5:30 p.m. with a networking reception followed by an awards ceremony. Twenty professionals under the age of thirty-five were selected, ten from each county. Doug Cedrone, co-owner of Beer Noggin, will kick off the event with opening remarks.

Among the Millennials receiving awards is Anne Franscioni, Douglas Elliman real estate agent and Greenwich United Way board member. Franscioni was elected to the Greenwich United Way board in February of this year and was nominated for a Milli Award by the Greenwich United Way. "We are so proud of Anne and are grateful for the leadership, passion, and inspiration she exudes as a Greenwich United Way board member. Anne’s volunteer work and philanthropy in Greenwich is a model for all” said Greenwich United Way CEO, David Rabin.

Raised in Greenwich, Connecticut, Franscioni graduated from Greenwich High School and later Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. She returned to Greenwich after working in California for a short time and began a career in residential real estate. Franscioni has co-chaired many fundraising events and helped to launch the Greenwich United Way fall fundraiser, Brew Ha-Ha Comedy Night. She volunteers for the North Street School PTA and is also on the Board at the Junior League of Greenwich. Franscioni lives in Greenwich with her husband, John, and their two children. "My work with the Greenwich United Way has been an incredibly rewarding experience and has helped me learn both personally and professionally. I love that I am able to help our community through my work with the Greenwich United Way and gain knowledge and experience while doing so. I am proud to serve on the Board of such a valuable organization that generates a huge impact in my community" said Franscioni.

Nominations were submitted in early fall and were reviewed by; Jenny Mezzapelle, Senior Marketing Manager at Wilton-based Blue Buffalo and active Animal welfare advocate; Olga Litvinenko, reigning Miss Connecticut USA 2017, marketing manager at Miller Motorcars, entrepreneur, and philanthropist; and Nicole Bryan, Associate Dean for programs and innovation in the School of Professional and Continuing Studies at Fordham University. “As the publisher of the only local business newspapers in Fairfield and Westchester counties, Westfair Communications keeps close tabs on what's happening in business and who are making the most impact and bringing change to the workplace. Clearly, it's the Millennials. That's why we created the Milli Award program. We wish to give recognition to these deserving young professionals and entrepreneurs who are providing direction and inspiration for all of us” said Dee Delbello, Publisher at WAG Magazine.

There will be an official Milli Awards After Party at Blockheads, 40 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains, from 8:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. following the awards ceremony. Where attendees can continue to network and enjoy food and drinks with honorees, family, and friends. Milli Award attendees will each receive a $10 gift certificate to Blockheads (valid 11/14 only). On November 25th Alfa Romeo of Greenwich and Miller Motorcars will host an all-day event at their showroom in celebration of the nominated Millennials from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and showcase the brand new Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio models.
