Greenwich RTM Recounts Finished, Preliminary Results Posted: Registrar
The recounts were triggered due to close vote totals among candidates in Districts 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 12.

GREENWICH, CT — Officials have finished the automatic recounts in several Greenwich Representative Town Meeting districts, and preliminary results show "no changes of any significance," according to an update from the Registrars of Voters.
The recounts were triggered due to close vote totals among candidates in Districts 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 12.
A staff of poll workers "recanvassed," as it's formally called, returns of voting machines, absentee ballots and write-in ballots in the RTM races on Monday at Town Hall.

In this election, there were 336 candidates for 230 seats. The RTM is the town's legislative body.

Preliminary numbers from the recounts can be found below. There will be a final reconciliation Tuesday by the Registrars and Town Clerk's offices.
