Greenwich Selectmen To Consider Safe Streets Resolution, Parking Changes And More At Upcoming Meeting

Thursday's Board of Selectmen meeting is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. in the Town Hall Meeting Room.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Board of Selectmen is scheduled to consider a resolution committing the town to a long-term goal of eliminating fatal and serious traffic injuries by 2040 when it meets Thursday morning at Town Hall.

The proposal, listed as a first read, is part of the Safe Streets Greenwich Safety Action Plan and would formally declare the town’s commitment to reducing and ultimately eliminating severe roadway crashes. The resolution is tied to a federally funded planning effort and is intended to position Greenwich to pursue future transportation safety grants, according to the agenda materials.

Also on the agenda are multiple traffic and parking ordinance matters, including a second read of proposed amendments affecting parking, stopping and standing prohibitions and two-hour timed parking on certain streets.
