Greenwich To Send 2 Teams To CT Middle School Regional Science Bowl

The event will take place on Feb. 10 in Glastonbury.

GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich Public Schools will be well represented in the upcoming CT Middle School Regional Science Bowl.

Teams from Central Middle School and Eastern Middle School will compete in the event on Feb. 10 at Smith Middle School in Glastonbury.

The U.S. Department of Energy sponsors the National Science Bowl, which is an extraordinary fast-paced question-and-answer competition that brings together thousands of our future scientists, visionaries, and leaders. This is the nation’s premiere academic competition for middle and high school students.

The winning CT team will be flown at all-expenses paid to compete in the national finals held in Washington, D.C., from April 25 to April 29. They will join 49 other regional winning middle schools and over 70 regional winning high schools for several days of science activities and sightseeing, along with the competitions.
