Greenwich Socialite Who Went To Prison For Voyeurism Released Early
Hadley Palmer entered prison on Nov. 29, 2022, as part of a yearlong sentence. She was recently released early.

GREENWICH, CT — Hadley Palmer, a 54-year-old Greenwich socialite who was sentenced last November to a year in prison after she pleaded guilty to several voyeurism charges and risking injury to a child, is no longer behind bars, the CT Department of Corrections inmate database shows. Her current location is listed as "re-entry."
The Daily Beast reported that since Palmer had a sentence of two years or less, she can serve the remainder of her term in a halfway house or with a sponsor. The Daily Beast said she was granted early release on Wednesday.
Palmer previously served 90 days in prison in spring 2022 at the York Correctional Institute in Niantic, CT, to ensure that she would serve at least the full minimum sentence. The state recommended a sentence of 90 days to five years in prison.

On Oct. 25, 2021, Palmer turned herself in to the Greenwich Police Department on a warrant that charged her with: risk of injury to a child; three counts of voyeurism; employing a minor in obscene performance; conspiracy to commit/employ a minor in obscene performance; and second-degree possession of child pornography, according to an arrest report from the GPD.
She entered into a plea deal in January 2022 and pleaded guilty to three counts of voyeurism and one count of risk of injury to a child, according to court records. The other charges were dropped.

Details of the case are sparse since court documents were sealed in February 2022 by Judge John F. Blawie of the Connecticut Superior Court. At the time, Blawie included a summary of the sealed documents in his ruling on sealing the court record.
"Between 2017 and 2018, the defendant knowingly photographed, filmed and recorded certain individuals without their knowledge or consent, and under circumstances where those individuals were not in plain view, and had a reasonable expectation of privacy, and at least one photograph taken by the defendant depicted a person who was a minor," Blawie wrote.
At her sentencing last November, according to Hearst CT, Stamford-Norwalk State’s Attorney Paul Ferencek said Palmer used the recordings to "arouse her sexual desire and that of an unnamed third party."
The New York Times reported that Palmer owns a $10 million 19th-century Victorian home which overlooks the Long Island Sound in the exclusive Belle Haven neighborhood of Greenwich. The NY Times also noted that Palmer has four children, and is the daughter of Jerrold Fine, who started one of the first hedge funds in the 1970's in Westport, CT.
Palmer must register as a sex offender. She will also be on probation for 20 years.
