Greenwich Street Brawl Ends In 3 Arrests: Police
The fight, in which a crowd of 30 screaming people had gathered around, occurred on Aug. 16.

GREENWICH, CT — A street fight on Davis Avenue on Aug. 16, in which the crowd surrounding it had swelled to 30 screaming people, led to the arrests of three local residents on breach of peace and related charges, according to Greenwich police.
Arrested were Michael G. Esquivel, 28; Thomas A. Martins, 21; and Andres Rendon, 28. All three were charged with second-degree breach of peace; Esquivel and Martins were charged with interfering with an officer, and Rendon was charged with third-degree assault.
According to police, the 6:40 p.m. fight was the result of an earlier undisclosed incident. "There was an earlier dispute, and it spilled over into the evening," said Greenwich Police Lt. David Nemecek. No injuries were reported.

The fight allegedly began when police said Rendon punched Martins in the face, knocking him to the ground. Esquivel allegedly egged on the crowd, and when police arrived Esquivel and Martins refused to stand down when ordered to do so, according to police.
All three are scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Aug. 30.
