Greenwich Summer Concert Series Starts Wednesday

The Bob Button Orchestra will perform in the kickoff concert of the free series.

The Bob Button Orchestra will perform at Binney Park on Wednesday, June 24, as part of the Greenwich Department of Parks and Recreation free summer concert series.

The 90-minute concert begins in the park on Sound Beach Avenue in Old Greenwich 7:15 p.m. The rain date is Thursday, June 25.

The popular 12-piece orchestra will present a program of Big Band classics as originally recorded by the famous bands of the Swing Era. Gail Clear will be the featured vocalist.

A portable dance floor will be installed in front of the bandstand for those who would like to dance while listening.

This is the first Parks & Recreation Wednesday Night Concert of the summer season. Other upcoming Wednesday Night Concerts will be held in Roger Sherman Baldwin Park, and will feature Billy and the Showmen playing R & B on July 8, and Gunsmoke playing country music on July 15.
