Greenwich Is About To Tell People Just How Great It Really Is: Report

First Selectman Peter Tesei's Economic Advisory Committee has been instrumental in putting together a new marketing initiative.

GREENWICH, CT — In a move to offset some of the negative press that Connecticut has received from its fiscal woes and high-profile corporate relocations out of the state, Greenwich is preparing to launch a new marketing plan extolling the town's numerous virtues.

The Greenwich Time reports that the effort is a public-private partnership that has already raised nearly $90,000 on the private side, with an added $30,000 expected to come from the town's coffers.

First Selectman Peter Tesei's Economic Advisory Committee, which helped put together the Sister City agreement with Hangzhou, China, has been instrumental in coordinating the new marketing initiative, which will be rolled out in the near future.
