Greenwich Town Party Launches 3rd Annual Online Auction
The auction will have more than 300 items and runs from Thursday, May 17, through Sunday, May 27.

From the Greenwich Town Party: The Greenwich Town Party, Inc., a non-profit organization that brings multiple generations of Greenwich residents together to celebrate town pride and the spirit of giving, will host an online benefit auction from Thursday, May 17 through Sunday, May 27, surrounding the eighth annual event. The 2018 Greenwich Town Party (GTP), the day-long family music festival, is set for Saturday, May 26, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park. The auction will include more than 300 items and experiences ranging from $50 to $10,000. The majority of lots include items donated by generous Greenwich businesses and residents. The proceeds from this auction help support the event’s future sustainability.
“This year’s Greenwich Town Party online auction is full of local favorites and one-of-a-kind experiences you don’t want to miss,” said GTP Co-President Ray Rivers. “From trips and tours to hotels and health spas, there is definitely something for everyone. We hope everyone bids on these generously donated items because participating helps us keep this party going for years to come.”
The ten-day online auction includes a range of items in a variety of categories, including trips to the Caribbean, Florida and New Orleans, as well as favorite spots in Litchfield County, the Hudson Valley and Vermont; VIP tickets to the U.S. Open, New York Giants, and the New York Yankees; tickets to TV shows, including Dancing with the Stars, Live with Kelly & Ryanand Bravo's Watch What Happens Live; private tours of NYC favorites, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art; boat and yacht excursions; artwork by local and nationally renowned artists and photographers; hotel stays; beauty, health and spa services; fashion and jewelry; dinners/parties donated by restaurants, caterers, and wine shops; gym memberships; private music lessons and school tutoring; home veterinary care; landscaping, interior design and organizing; a year's worth of movie tickets and car washes.
Powered by 501 Auctions, the online auction will be open for 10 days surrounding the event and will be open to everyone, whether they are ticket holders or not, beginning at 9 a.m., Thursday, May 17 at greenwichtownparty.org. This will enable more people and businesses to participate and donate in celebration of the Greenwich community. The online auction will end the day after the GTP, on Sunday, May 27 at 6 p.m. Donated items are still being accepted in all categories on the GTP website.
Each year, substantial donations from town residents and local businesses provide the majority of Party funding. Thanks to the continued generosity of sponsors and donors, the ticket prices have been reduced to a fraction of what they would be for such a large event. There will be a GTP Donation Tent on-site during the Party, and organizers encourage all attendees to donate something to keep the GTP sustainable for years to come. All donations, regardless of the amount, will be matched by an anonymous and generous benefactor. For sponsorship opportunities, please visit: greenwichtownparty.org.
All donors can be be found on greenwichtownparty.org/auction-donors. The Greenwich Town Party encourages the community to show appreciation to these local businesses for their support.
