Greenwich Traffic Backed Up Due To Debris On I-95

GREENWICH — Connecticut commuters going back to work after the holiday weekend are already coping with traffic issues, especially on Interstate 95 in Fairfield County this morning.

At 4:59 a.m., I-95 southbound saw backups right away for reported debris in the roadway, with traffic backing up 6 miles, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The congestion was reported between exits 9 and 3 in Greenwich, with the debris now reported as cleared up, according to the DOT at about 7 a.m. today.
