Greenwich Victim Bound, Beaten In Armed Home Invasion Robbery: PD
One arrest has been made in the violent Saturday afternoon incident, but other suspects remain at-large.

GREENWICH, CT — A Greenwich man was bound and beaten by a group of armed assailants Saturday afternoon during a violent home invasion robbery on Brook Drive, according to Greenwich police. One suspect from New York City has been arrested, but the others remain at-large.
Police were called to the home at about 3 p.m. and "found the victim restrained and bleeding from injuries sustained in the crime."
The man told police that a group of armed individuals forced their way into his home, bound and beat him, and demanded cash and jewelry. Police said the victim was treated for his injuries at the scene.

Officers searched the area but did not find the suspects. Detectives quickly arrived, processed the scene, interviewed witnesses and were able to develop leads on possible suspects, including one in particular named Hassan R. Washington, 46.
"Based on [the detectives] investigation the evidence indicated this was a targeted incident and not a random act," wrote Greenwich Police Lt. John Slusarz.

A warrant was obtained for Washington, and with the help of NYPD Violent Crimes Task Force, he was apprehended Tuesday at an undisclosed location in New York City. Additional arrests are expected.
Washington was charged with:
- Home invasion
- First-degree robbery
- First-degree kidnapping
- First-degree assault
- Sixth-degree larceny
He is being held in New York in lieu of bail of $500,000 as he awaits extradition to Connecticut.
