GREENWICH, CT — The Town of Greenwich is warning residents about speed camera and parking ticket scams.
"Scammers are sending fake text messages claiming you owe unpaid speeding or parking tickets. Do not respond to these texts. These messages are NOT from the Town of Greenwich, Greenwich Police Department, or Connecticut Superior Court," the town said in a social media post Friday.
Official ticket notices are sent by physical mail only, according to the town, and they will not come via text message.
