Greenwich Woman Arrested After Striking Pedestrian, Fleeing Scene: PD

Police also issued a warning to the pedestrian.

GREENWICH, CT—Police arrested a local woman after she struck a pedestrian with her vehicle and fled the scene, police said.

Police responded to the intersection of Field Point Road and Brookside Drive Oct. 19. Witnesses were able to identify the fleeing vehicle, which was later found at a residence in town.

The pedestrian crossing the street exited a commuter bus and crossed the road in an undesignated area, police said. The pedestrian was given a warning for illegal use of a highway by a pedestrian.

Nadine Maluenda, 23, admitted she had struck the pedestrian and left the scene, police said. She was charged with evading responsibility.
