Greenwich Woman Arrested On Host Of Narcotics Charges: Police
The accused was found to be in possession of heroin, crack cocaine and marijuana during a traffic stop near a school in Byram.

GREENWICH, CT — A 41-year-old Greenwich woman was arrested on a host of narcotics charges on April 23 following a traffic stop near Byram's New Lebanon School, according to Greenwich police.
Lauren Keala Demane, of Chapel Street, was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over just after 8 a.m. on Mead Avenue near the school on suspicion of drug activity. In Demane's lap, she was found to have a small amount of marijuana, wrote police in a statement. With the help of Port Chester police and a police dog, officers also allegedly found:
- 16 folds of heroin
- 2 small baggies of crack cocaine
- Several syringes
- 1 glass smoking pipe
- Additional drug paraphernalia
Demane was charged with possession of crack cocaine within 1,500 feet of a school; possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school; possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school; possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of less than half-an-ounce of marijuana; and additional related narcotics charges.

She was released after posting a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on May 11.
