Greenwich Woman Arrested On 'Intentional Cruelty' Charge: PD

The warrant arrest is in connection with an April incident in Old Greenwich.

GREENWICH, CT — A 40-year-old Old Greenwich woman was arrested Monday on charges of intentional cruelty to persons, risk of injury to a child and second-degree assault in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident from April 17, according to Greenwich police.

Evelyn G. Stowell, of Sound Beach Avenue, was arrested on a warrant following a month-long investigation conducted by the Greenwich Police Department's Special Victims Section.

Greenwich police did not provide details of the incident, nor was any information disclosed about the victim.

Stowell was held in lieu of bail of $25,000 and was scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on July 3.
