Greenwich Woman In DWI Crash With 2 Children In Vehicle: Police
The crash occurred on the afternoon of July 20 near the Round Hill Club on Round Hill Avenue.

GREENWICH, CT — A child suffered minor injuries on July 20 when a 45-year-old Greenwich woman who was driving the SUV the child was riding in crashed into a stone wall near the Round Hill Club on Round Hill Road in Greenwich, according to police.
An investigation at the scene of the 3:10 p.m. crash led police to charge the woman, Stephanie Horton, of Stanwich Road, with driving under the influence and other violations, said Greenwich police.
Officers were dispatched to the area on a report of an erratic driver, and while in route that driver, Horton, crashed the GMC Yukon she was driving, with the vehicle resting on top of the wall.

Two children were in the vehicle at the time, with one suffering a laceration to the head, according to police. No other injuries were reported.
In addition to the drunk driving charge, Horton also was charged with two counts of risk of injury to a minor and making an improper turn.

Horton was released after posting a $500 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Aug. 3.
