Greenwich Youth Baseball And Softball Teams Win 2026 Spring Championships
A pair of Greenwich youth teams won spring championships this past weekend.
GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Nationals 8U youth baseball team and 14U Greenwich Firebirds softball team each captured the D3 Spring Championship in the Greater Hudson Valley Baseball and Softball League.
The Greenwich Nationals defeated the Pomperaug Panthers 6-1 in Banksville on Saturday. The championship appearance marked the first for the program.
The Firebirds beat the DYA 14U team (Yonkers, N.Y.) on Sunday by a score of 10-2 at Greenwich High School.

First Selectman Fred Camillo acknowledged the champions in a social media post.
"The Greenwich Nationals and Greenwich Firebirds had a championship weekend! Greenwich continues to be Titletown CT!" he said.
