Greenwich's MLK Jr. Event Rescheduled

The event was originally planned for Tuesday, Jan. 16, but snow and ice forced a postponement.

GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich's first-ever town-run celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has been rescheduled for Thursday, Jan. 18.

The event was originally planned for Tuesday but snow and ice forced a postponement.

The public is invited to Greenwich Town Hall and the Cone Room on Thursday at 10:30 a.m.

The Rev. Dr. Thomas Nins, senior pastor at First Baptist Church in Greenwich, will be the main speaker.

Former town employee Ruby Durant will sing two songs, and students from Old Greenwich School will be in attendance as well.
