The Griff Golf Course Closes for the Season
With the Nor'Easter dropping drenching rains, Greenwich's public course closed Tuesday for the season.

The weather gods aren’t playing nice this week — especially with the deluge that’s being rained on Greenwich.
With the drenching rains Tuesday that are expected to continue into Wednesday, with the Nor’Easter possibly leaving the region with snow on Thursday, town Parks and Recreation officials announced Tuesday morning that The Griffith E. Harris Golf Course, “The Griff”, will close for the season on Tuesday, Dec. 9.
Last week, Parks & Rec Director Joe Siciliano said the weather would determine whether the town-owned18-hole course on King Street would remain open until Dec. 15, the usual closing date.
