CT Weather: Storms To Break Up This Awful Humidity Wednesday
Here's an updated timeline for when storms are expected to arrive in Connecticut.

Another day, another chance for thunderstorms and oppressive heat and humidity in Connecticut. The silver lining is that the storms are expected to break the humidity a little bit on Thursday. Wednesday won't be a washout either as there will also be plenty of periods of sun too.
The National Weather Service says, "Warm and humid conditions will continue today" as temps will be in the uppers 80s at the immediate coast and into the low 90s inland.
"As a weak cold front slowly approaches from the west, scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon into this evening. Some of these storms could contain strong gusty winds and heavy rainfall...

"A few showers and storms may linger into the day on Thursday before the cold front pushes offshore. The humidity will slowly decrease in the wake of the front and skies will begin to clear, although temperatures will continue to run about 5 degrees above normal."

A Hazardous Weather Outlook and Heat Advisory are in effect statewide today. For Southern Connecticut, the heat advisory ends at 6 p.m. and the heat index could approach 100 degrees. The National Weather Service also says for northern parts of the state that "A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon through Thursday. Main threat would be very localized strong to damaging wind gusts. In addition...any thunderstorm that develop will be capable of producing torrential rainfall resulting a very localized flood threat."
