Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Connecticut
A Wind Advisory has also been issued for several sections of Connecticut by the National Weather Service.

The weather word of the day in Connecticut on Saturday is “wind” as a Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for the state and several sections also are under a Wind Advisory too, according to the National Weather Service.
The entire state will see gusty and strong winds at times on Saturday and the temperatures will be dramatically lower than they were just a couple of days ago too.
A Wind Advisory is in effect for Middlesex, New London, Hartford, and Tolland counties Saturday afternoon. Fairfield and New Haven counties aren’t under a Wind Advisory as of yet but they are operating under a Hazardous Weather Outlook just like the rest of the state.

The National Weather Service says strong winds will occur with sustained gusts at 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph this afternoon and evening. Some gusts in excess of 40 mph are possible.
Middlesex and New London counties:
A Wind Advisory is in effect from 2 p.m. until 6 a.m. Sunday with sustained wind gusts between 20-30 mph and gusts up to 50 mph.
The worst of it will be between late this afternoon into early this evening. There could be some downed tree limbs and isolated power outages, the weather service advises.
Hartford and Tolland counties:
A Wind Advisory is in effect from 8 p.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday with gusts between 15-25 mph and gusts up to 45 mph. The strongest winds will be this evening and late tonight into Sunday. Some isolated power outages are possible.
A Wind Advisory means gusts up to 57 mph are possible and sustained winds are expected to be between 31-39 mph the weather service states.
As for the state’s updated weekend weather forecast, besides wind, it’s mostly cloudy Saturday with a high just around 50 degrees. It’s possible there may be a shower or two too.
On Sunday, much better with sunshine and a low in the low 60s but there is a chance for showers after midnight Sunday.
