Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Greenwich As Tropical Storm Jose Approaches
While the brunt of the storm is expected Tuesday night into Wednesday, "heavy rain bands may move in as early as the Tuesday morning rush."

GREENWICH, CT — Tropical Storm Jose is expected to dump heavy rains and fierce winds on Greenwich and Fairfield County on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service, with a strong potential for some coastal flooding and power outages.
While the brunt of the storm is expected Tuesday night into Wednesday, "heavy rain bands may move in as early as the Tuesday morning rush," and last for a good portion of the day.
"Hurricane Jose will continue to track northward through the western Atlantic waters through mid week, passing to the southeast of the area late Tuesday night into Wednesday as a tropical storm," wrote the NWS. "The system looks to be close enough for potential impacts, including tropical storm force winds, coastal flooding, and heavy rainfall. The best chance for tropical storm force winds and heavy rain will be across eastern Long Island and southeast Connecticut. Minor to moderate coastal flooding is also likely."
