CT Weather: Days Of Storms Possible This Week

A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for Tuesday in Connecticut as heavy rain, thunderstorms and potentially flash flooding concerns are all possible. In fact this week's weather forecast closely resembles last weeks in that we could see storms Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. So it appears to be another week of unsettled weather.

For Southern Connecticut, the weather service says, "There is a small chance of localized flash flooding from Late Tuesday through Wednesday night. The main threat during this time frame is for the minor flooding of small streams and creeks as well as urban and poor drainage areas."

For Northern Connecticut, the weather service says, "Low risk for a few strong thunderstorms Wednesday and Thursday with minor urban flooding and strong winds possible."

Monday appears to be dry and a good weather day and the humidity increases Tuesday and scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected.

"Showers and thunderstorms should become more widespread Tuesday night and Wednesday, with locally heavy rainfall possible. Highs on Wednesday should be near normal," the weather service says.
