CT Weather Forecast: Finally Some Beautiful Weather Is Here

We've been waiting a long time for some of these weather changes as we head into the weekend.

We've been waiting all summer for a forecast like the one that is upcoming. The high humidity and seemingly never ending rain showers and storms will be just a memory over the next several days including the upcoming weekend. Yes, some light rain showers fell in parts of the state this morning but after they end later this morning we'll see our longest stretch of dry weather this summer.

There is no rain in the weekend forecast and temps will be considerably cooler with less humidity and plenty of sunshine, but as schools open for many students next week the humidity will increase along with the temps beginning on Monday. We will remain dry through the middle of next week. (Keep up with CT events and news by subscribing to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)

According to the National Weather Service, "dry, and less humid, weather is expected as high pressure builds in from the Ohio Valley and settles over the region Friday. Highs today will range from the mid 70s ... intosouthwestern Connecticut, to the upper 70s to around 80 along the coast ... With clear skies, near light and variable winds, and dry conditions, there will be a wide range to overnight lows, ranging from the lower 50s inland ... to the upper 60s... Warming takes place Friday under mostly sunny skies, and temperatures will modify, reaching highs in the lower to mid 80s, with comfortable humidity levels."
