Homeless Man Arrested For Threatening New Canaan Family: PD
The suspect allegedly violated a protective order.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A 39-year-old homeless man, who police said has a protective order against him, was arrested for allegedly threatening a New Canaan family via text messages, according to New Canaan police.
Keith A. Wolfe was arrested on a warrant in Manhattan on Nov. 29 and extradited to New Canaan on Dec. 11. He allegedly used his cell phone to make the threats, which were reported to police on Nov. 27.
"The complainants/victims, residents of New Canaan and an additional victim who is a resident of Seattle, Washington indicated that Wolfe violated the current Protective Order from Washington State by contacting the complainants/victims via text message and making threatening statements in the text messages," wrote New Canaan police in a release. "The threats consisted of traveling to New Canaan and inflicting bodily harm and death to the victims."

New Canaan police, assisted by New York City police, arrested Wolfe on the 29th near 72nd Street and Amsterdam Avenue, and he was remanded to a New York correctional facility until his extradition.
Wolfe was charged with second-degree threatening and violation of a protective order. He is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Dec. 12.
