Horse Collapses and Dies on Top of Greenwich Equestrian

The woman passed out after the horse collapsed on top of her and bystanders had to remove the 1,200 pound animal off her Sunday.

A horse collapsed and died on a Greenwich equestrian in Darien on Sunday.

The incident happened at the Ox Ridge Hunt Club in Darien, according to News 12.

The woman was riding when the horse collapsed and fell on top of her. The woman was unconscious for a period of time.

Bystanders and police moved the 1,200 pound animal off of her.

The horse was identified as Jessy Du Breau. The rider and owner, Laura Sexton of Greenwich, was competing in an event at the club, according to The Chronicle of the Horse.

Sexton was taken to Stamford hospital and has since been released.
