Connecticut Weather: Hour-By-Hour Snow Forecast
The forecast has been changing daily on this snowstorm. Here's the latest on timing and how much snow to expect.

This snowstorm originally was supposed to have little effect on Connecticut, but suddenly there was talk that a good chunk of the state would receive up to six inches of snow. It appears the answer is somewhere in the middle — based, of course, on where you live.
The National Weather Service has dropped its Winter Weather Advisory for the coastal areas of Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex and New London counties. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for inland sections of Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex and New London counties. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Hartford, Tolland and Litchfield counties.
Areas along the immediate coast may only see a couple of inches of snow, especially in the western part of the state. Areas along the coast in eastern Connecticut may see not even an inch of snow, as rain will mix in almost immediately and the snow will become just rain in the overnight hours.

Inland sections of southern Connecticut are expecting to receive 2 to 4 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service, but isolated amounts of 6 inches are possible.
In Hartford and Tolland counties, 4 to 7 inches of snow is expected and some areas may end up with nine inches of snow. In Litchfield County, which is where the most snow will fall, could receive 5 to 10 inches of snow.

The snow could begin in parts of the state before midnight, and the bulk of the snow and rain (along the coast) will fall before 8 a.m. — though accumulating snow is still possible up until around noon Wednesday.
The commute to work won't be fun, and school superintendents will have to make tough calls on whether to cancel or delay school Wednesday. (Follow Patch's CT Snow Coverage With Our Free Real-Time News Alerts).
