CT Weather: Hour-By-Hour Forecast Of Nor'easter, 40-50 MPH Winds

A big nor'easter is on track to wallop Connecticut this weekend, bringing a period of heavy rain, 50-mph wind gusts and creating the potential for power outages. Patch has the complete forecast and a breakdown of the wind, temperature, and rain predictions, broken down county-by-county (see below).

The storm could be significant enough to knock down trees and wires, the National Weather Service cautions. A coastal flood warning is in effect along the Connecticut coast.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for the entire Southern Connecticut coast where winds will be 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph possible. A Coastal Flood Warning is in effect for the coast of Fairfield and New Haven counties from noon until 3 p.m. Saturday where tides will be running 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 feet above normal.

"This will result in numerous road closures and cause widespread flooding of low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns and homes/businesses with basements near the waterfront. Vehicles parked in vulnerable areas near the waterfront will likely become flooded. Flooding will also extend inland from the waterfront along tidal rivers and bays. Additional minor coastal flooding is possible during the times of high tide Saturday Night and Sunday morning," the National Weather Service says.
