The weather story now is the freezing temps tonight and Sunday and snow also reappears in the forecast too. Here's the latest details.

If you're thinking about venturing out later tonight, you might want to re-think those plans. The temps and wind chill factors will be exceedingly cold tonight and Sunday. In fact, it will feel below zero across all of Connecticut late tonight and Sunday morning.
The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for southern Connecticut for wind chill values tonight that will fall to around zero to -10 degrees. But it will be a relative heatwave compared to Hartford and Tolland counties, which are under a Wind Chill Advisory from midnight until 7 a.m. Sunday.
In northern Connecticut it will feel as cold as 20 below zero and temps will only be in the single digits. The weather service cautions that frostbite could occur quickly here.

"A Wind Chill Advisory is issued when wind chill values of -15 to -24 degrees are likely for at least 3 hours. Wind chill values below -20 degrees can bring about frostbite in as little as 30 minutes. Outdoor exposure should be limited," the National Weather Service states. "If you must be outdoors, dress in layers and keep your hands and feet covered to protect against frostbite."
On Sunday it warms up to 25 degrees in Connecticut and with the wind chill factor it will feel like 0 to 10 below zero during the day. Sunday night is also cold with lows in the teens. On Monday it does warm up into the low 40s.

More Snow in the Forecast
And there is a chance of snow, yes snow, in the forecast for next Friday and a chance of snow and rain next Saturday. Maybe winter isn't over just yet.
NBC Connecticut Senior Meteorologist Brad Field was the first to raise the snow chance for next weekend. He said more cold and snow may also follow.
