I-95 Exit To Close Temporarily In Greenwich For Construction

An exit on Interstate 95 in Greenwich will be temporarily closed for upcoming construction work, according to Eversource.

GREENWICH, CT — Exit 4 on Interstate 95 in Greenwich will be temporarily closed Feb. 2-7between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for construction work, weather permitting, according to Eversource. The closure is part of the ongoing work on the Greenwich Substation & Line Project near exit 4 (Indian Field Road/Cos Cob), Eversource officials said in a statement.

While night work is underway, exiting traffic will be rerouted to exit 3 (Arch Street). The exit 4 southbound exit ramp will be open during non-working hours.

"Eversource is coordinating closely with the Connecticut Department of Transportation to ensure public safety during road or ramp closures," the energy company said in a statement. "Signs will be posted approaching the location to help manage the flow of traffic."
