ID Released Of Man Who Was Struck By Train In Cos Cob: MTA PD

A 38-year-old Connecticut man was struck by a train and killed Wednesday night in Cos Cob, according to an MTA police spokesperson.

GREENWICH, CT — Michael Haden Crouse, 38, of Newington, CT, was killed Wednesday night after he was hit by a train near the Cos Cob Train Station, according to Aaron Donovan, a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police Department.

Donovan said the incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. The New Haven Line experienced delays of up to 45 minutes as police investigated.

Trains departing from Stamford were not stopping at Old Greenwich, Riverside and Cos Cob for several hours, but service was restored and operating on or close to schedule around 10 p.m. Wednesday, the MTA said.

The Greenwich Police Department responded to the scene first, and then MTA police took over.

The incident is still under investigation, according to Donovan.
