Indian Harbor Ferry Anticipated To Be In Operation By July 1: Camillo
Geeenwich's Indian Harbor Ferry needed repairs to its steel hull, First Selectman Fred Camillo said last Friday.
GREENWICH, CT — The Indian Harbor and Island Beach ferries are both expected to be in operation by July 1, according to First Selectman Fred Camillo.
Camillo said in his weekly newsletter to the community last Friday that the Indian Harbor Ferry needed unanticipated repairs to its steel hull. The need for repairs was found during a U.S. Coast Guard inspection in April.
While the repairs are complete, there is a delay in the ferry being operational, Camillo said.

There will be an inspection on the ferry’s completed repairs soon, and if it gets the go-ahead, the town anticipates both ferries will be in operation by July 1 and the regularly posted schedule will resume, Camillo said.
The Greenwich Department of Parks and Recreation will provide an update on the Indian Harbor Ferry status once the inspection is complete.
