International Coastal Cleanup Announced At Greenwich Point Park

This global initiative aims to bring the community together for a day of environmental stewardship.

GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich Green & Clean has announced an upcoming International Coastal Cleanup, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 23, from 10 a.m., to 2 p.m., at Greenwich Point Park.

This global initiative aims to bring the community together for a day of environmental stewardship to protect and preserve oceans and waterways.

All non-biodegradable trash removed from the shoreline will be tallied and reported to Save the Sound. Save the Sound will submit the data to the Ocean Conservancy, which collaborates with organizations worldwide to analyze pollution in the Earth’s waters.

Pre-registration on GG&C’s website is recommended, but unregistered walk-ins will be welcome. Click here to register.

Upon your arrival, please check in at the tables at the parking lot across from the first concession stand. Beach passes will not be required for participation in this event.

Gloves and buckets will be available on-site, however, participants are encouraged to bring their own if possible.

Community service certificates will be available.
