Experience: Greenwich RTC

Family in government: My mother, Carm Budkins, has served as the Town Clerk for 30 years in town and my father was a member of the Greenwich RTM for 18 years.

The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

The pandemic created a unique situation for the Town Clerk's office which required modification to help maintain uninterrupted service. Moving forward we intend to keep scheduling appointments in advance to move people quickly and efficiently and proactively identify ways to modify the needs in the community and public.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

As a professional realtor for 20 years in the town of Greenwich I've utilized the Town Clerk's office extensively, have a familiarity with the staff and know many of the power users that rely on the office day to day. I have extensive knowledge of land records, deeds and the absentee ballot process. During my career I have had the opportunity to have worked with many of the other town departments and have built solid relationships.

Accomplishments:

Throughout my real estate career I have received awards in business including International Sterling Society recognition. I have built a successful business on trust, dedication, customer service and a deep knowledge of our town. As a member of the Greenwich RTC I have been elevated through the ranks from member, to Secretary and Vice-Chairman.

Other issues:

I would like to build on the success of the town clerk's office and the contributions I have made to our town with integrity and commitment through working with our community. Since I was young my family has ingrained in me the importance of serving our community and giving back.

What else would you like voters to know about you?

I am a lifelong Greenwich resident, a proud graduate of Greenwich Public Schools and received my Bachelor's degree from Roger Williams University. I am an avid community volunteer and serve on the executive committee of the St Roch Church Feast, the largest fundraiser for my community church.

I promise to uphold the high standards established, maintain the excellent and friendly service the current clerk’s office provides, and help prepare it for the future. My integrity, and relationship building skills and deep knowledge of the town have prepared me well for this. I look forward to carrying on in the same tradition as your Town Clerk.
