Jeb Bush Is Headed to Greenwich for PAC Fund-Raiser

The former Florida governor, and brother and son of the former Presidents Bush, will be in town Wednesday as he mulls presidential bid.

Former Florida governor Jeb Bush will be returning to his family’s Greenwich roots this week for a fund-raiser for his Leadership PAC, according to reports.

Greenwich was the home base for the family of Bush’s father, former President George H.W. Bush, where the elder Bush’s cousin Debbie Walker Stapleton lives with her former diplomat husband Craig Stapleton. The Stapletons are organizing the event to be held at a private home Wednesday, according to Hearst Connecticut Media Group.

Guests will include “relatives and political allies with ties to his father and brother.”

Also serving on the host committee are Richard Breeden, who was chair of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission during President George H.W. Bush’s tenure, and David McCormick, president of the Westport-based Bridgewater Associates hedge fund who was a former Treasury Under Secretary during the George W. Bush’s presidency, according to the report,

Jeb Bush’s PAC, which could fund either a presidential run or support other party candidates in 2016, is accepting individual political contributions of up to $5,000, according to the report, which can be found here.
