Join The Greenwich Police Department's Citizen's Police Academy

The Greenwich Police Department is accepting applications for the spring 2022 Citizen's Police Academy.

GREENWICH, CT — Openings are available for the spring 2022 Greenwich Citizen's Police Academy.

The GPD began offering the academy in 2003 as a way to foster interaction between officers and town residents.

The academy was designed to provide Greenwich residents with a first-hand overview of law enforcement and community related functions of the GPD. Instructors for the program are highly trained and experienced officers.

The nine-week program will begin on March 16 and set once a week on Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., with one additional Monday class on April 4. Graduation will be held on May 11.

There is no fee to attend. The academy is open to any Greenwich resident or employee, 18 years of age or older.
