Junior League of Greenwich Announces Its High School Community Service Award
Local female high school students passionate about community service can now apply for a Community Service Award worth $2,000.

Each year the Junior League of Greenwich designates funds to be awarded to a local female high school student through its Community Service Award. The award of $2,000 is intended to recognize a high school student who exemplifies the mission of the Junior League of Greenwich by demonstrating sustained commitment to community service. The recipient must be someone whose volunteer activities demonstrate initiative and significant and sustained commitment to community service and leadership.
To be eligible, the applicant must be a female high school student in grade 9-12, who lives in or attends school in Greenwich. The recipient must be someone whose volunteer activities demonstrate initiative, leadership, and a sustained commitment to community service.
Applications can be found at jlgreenwich.org and must include two written recommendations from non-family members knowledgeable of the student’s volunteer activities. The deadline for submission is April 3, 2026.

The Junior League of Greenwich presented the 2025 Community Service Award to Nora Stern, a 10th-grade student at Greenwich High School. Nora was selected for her outstanding contributions to the community, particularly her work with the Rowan Center, League of Women Voters, and YNET at the YWCA. She created the "Learn Before You Leave Event" at Greenwich Library, teaching incoming college freshmen about the dangers that can occur within the first few months of college life.
