Keep the Big-Game Killers out of CT! Bear Slaughter act TODAY

For more 23 years the big-game hunters have descended on Florida and New Jersey and decimated the bear populations. It is a blood bath and now that there is a severely diminished bear population in those states. The same hunters want to come here, says the former Connecticut politico. Please call and oppose SB 586.

"If a problem truly exists: Sedate and sterilize. The vote is any day now, so please act immediately. Please email your reps from the list below. The hunters claim that Litchfield County needs to have a bear hunt, it is not true," says former politico Lee Whitnum. "They just need a place to kill."

Whitnum says it is the same hunters who show up from world-wide every year to Florida and New Jersey, big-game hunters and many, who can afford it, are the same who go to the safari camps and kill our elephants, and lions.

“When I was growing up in New Jersey, we saw bears all the time. They are big but they hurt no one. Now since the annual hunt in 1996 you can’t find one. We never see bears in the Highland Lakes region anymore and that is sad. And now the hunters want to come here, please don’t let them.

Whitnum is asking people to write to every legislator but if they can’t to at least contact their own this is easily via the link by the Connecticut League of Conservation:

Whitnum has provided the the committee in the hopes that people will contact all of them and keep the big-game hunters out of our state.
