Kitchen Fire Extinguished In Greenwich: FD
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, which began in the kitchen of a Greenwich home.
GREENWICH, CT — Firefighters worked swiftly to extinguish a fire that broke out in the kitchen of a Greenwich home Tuesday morning. According to Interim Fire Chief Robert Kick, the blaze was reported at a home on Pheasant Lane Spur around 8:30 a.m.
Firefighters quickly arrived at the home and found smoke was emanating from the front of the building, Kick said. Crews ultimately contained the fire to the home's kitchen and extinguished it within approximately four minutes, Kick said. (To sign up for Greenwich breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
According to Kick, approximately 25 firefighters in total responded to the fire. The residents of the home were not displaced as the damage was confined to the kitchen.

No injuries were reported, Kick said.
An alert about the fire was initially sent out Monday morning on the Greenwich Professional Firefighters Local 1042 Twitter page.
