Knife-Wielding Greenwich Man Arrested: Cops

GREENWICH, CT — A 42-year-old Greenwich man, who allegedly threatened to kill a man while holding a knife, was arrested Tuesday afternoon following a fight on North Water Street, according to Greenwich police.

Eric Schnaer, of South New Street, was taken into custody at about 3:45 p.m. Officers had been called to the scene on a report of fight in progress "involving a knife." Additional details of the altercation were not disclosed.

Schnaer was charged with first-degree threatening, carrying a dangerous weapon and second-degree breach of peace.

He was released after posting a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on May 30.
