Laptop, Other Items Stolen From Greenwich Office Building: Police
Police said a man accused of stealing a laptop and other items from an office building in Greenwich was recently arrested.

GREENWICH, CT — A New York man accused of stealing a laptop and other items from an office building in Greenwich was arrested Friday, according to police. In a statement, police said officers responded to the area of Woodland Avenue after receiving a report of a person having trespassed on a private property in the area.
Police said Abner Morisset, 40, of Brooklyn, N.Y., entered a private office building on Railroad Avenue around 1:30 p.m. When responding officers attempted to question him, Morisset fled on foot but was later caught, police said. (To sign up for Greenwich breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
According to Lt. Mark Zuccerella, employees in the office building reported seeing Morisset rummaging through the office of a fellow employee. Zuccerella said cabinets in the office were found open and a laptop was reported missing from the employee's desk.

After further investigation, officers found a "facsimile firearm" in Morisset's possession, as well as a laptop, iPhone and letter opener taken from the building, Zuccerella said.
Morisset was charged with third-degree burglary, fifth-degree larceny, second-degree criminal trespass, carrying a dangerous weapon and interfering with an officer/resisting.
