Lay Offs to Affect Greenwich Tax Department
The department's budget was cut this year and it appears it will be cut again this coming year.
GREENWICH, CT — Two full-time employees in the Greenwich Tax Collection Department will be laid off due to budget cuts.
The Board of Estimate and Taxation cut the department's budget by $50,000 this fiscal year and the budget committee voted to cut another $50,000 for next fiscal year, according to the Greenwich Time.
A part-time and temporary employee will be brought in to help handle the workload.
