Linda McMahon Considered for Trump Cabinet Position: Report

The Greenwich resident may end up in Washington, D.C. after all.

GREENWICH, CT—Linda McMahon might make it to Washington, D.C. after all. The former WWE wrestling executive's name is being considered by President-elect Donald Trump's transition team for the Secretary of Commerce position, according to NBC Connecticut.

She is a Greenwich resident along with husband Vince McMahon.

McMahon contributed $6 million to a pro-Trump super PAC and was a delegate at the Republican National Convention, according to the Hartford Courant.

She ran and lost for a U.S. Senate seat in 2010 and 2012. She reportedly spent $50 million of her own money in 2010 in an attempt to beat Richard Blumenthal for the open senate seat. She lost to Chris Murphy in 2012.

Connecticut resident Larry Kudlow also stands a chance of getting a job with the Trump administration. Kudlow is a CNBC financial commentator and was an economic adviser to Trump during the campaign. He worked in a federal budget office during President Ronald Reagan's first term.
