GREENWICH, CT — Linda McMahon has been named secretary of the U.S. Department of Education by President-elect Donald Trump.
Trump made the announcement official Tuesday night on his social media platform, Truth Social, after previous reports from CNN said McMahon’s nomination was expected.

We will send Education BACK TO THE STATES, and Linda will spearhead that effort,” Trump said in a statement.
