Greenwich Police have issued a warning regarding littering at town parks after trash was found on the ground at a park over the weekend.
GREENWICH, CT — Police have issued a warning regarding littering at town parks after trash was found on the ground at Bruce Park on Sunday. The warning comes as various town parks begin to partially reopen, which police said officers have been assigned to monitor.
On Sunday, an image of trash on the ground in an area of Bruce Park was posted on the department's Facebook page. (To sign up for Greenwich breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
"This is how Bruce Park was found this [morning]," the post reads. "First Selectman Fred Camillo has already advised what you bring into a park, you need to bring out. As part of the re-opening of the parks, park visitors need to take out whatever they take in. This is unacceptable in any event."
