Major Shift In Greenwich Republican Town Committee: Report

The Greenwich RTC held caucuses last week to determine membership.

GREENWICH, CT — Last week, the Greenwich Republican Town Committee held caucuses to determine membership in the town's 12 voting districts.

According to the Greenwich Time, there was a major shift in membership, with 21 members losing and 12 choosing not to run.

The Time also reported that according to Dan Quigley, chair of the RTC, of the RTC’s 63 members, about 42 "had aligned with the old guard Greenwich Republicans." Thirty-nine members who were elected last week are aligned "with the more conservative side of the party."

Of note, the Time reported that former Board of Estimate and Taxation Chair Michael Mason, along with BET member Nisha Arora and current RTC treasurer John McShea all lost spots on the RTC.
