Man Accused Of Possessing Child Pornography: Greenwich Police

GREENWICH, CT — A New York man accused of possessing child pornography was arrested last week and transported to Greenwich Police headquarters Tuesday, according to police. The arrest came after "an extensive investigation" that began last year, according to police.
Greenwich Police said John Mueser, 69, of Tuckahoe, N.Y., was arrested on an extraditable warrant for charges of first-degree possession of child pornography, risk of injury to a minor, fourth-degree sexual assault and voyeurism, police said.

Police ultimately established probable cause and obtained an arrest warrant from the State Superior Court in Stamford, police said. Greenwich Police Special Victims detectives, along with members of the New York Westchester County Safe Streets Task Force, located and arrested Mueser at his New York home on April 1.
After waiving extradition, Mueser was transported to Police headquarters Tuesday, police said.

Police said no further details will be release at this time due to the "sensitive nature" of the investigation.
"If you believe that you may be a victim or know of anyone that may have been victimized by the suspect in the New York area, the FBI is requesting that you contact them at 1-800-CALL-FBI," police said in a statement. "If you believe that you were the victim of a sexual assault in Greenwich or if you have any information concerning this investigation, please contact the Greenwich Police Special Victims Section at (203) 622-8030."
Victims of sexual assault may also contact the Rowan Center, a sexual assault resource center in Stamford, at 203-329-2929 for support services and consultation, police said.
