Over the past several weeks, the Greenwich Police Department said its Special Victims Section conducted an undercover investigation in which a detective posed as a 13-year-old girl in an online chat room, and befriended Caceres.

"Over the course of the investigation, Caceres began to steer the conversations towards becoming more sexually explicit in nature," police said in Caceres' arrest report. "He also began describing sex acts that he wanted to perform on the '13-year-old girl' in 'real life.'"
